Meeting:
We started the meeting by introducing
ourselves. We had three new members; Pat, , and Lucia. They drove in
with Laurie. We discussed a little about what we do as a group and how
we run the meetings.
The next meeting will be November 18th in
Oshkosh at Laurie Magee's home. She has lots of room and has graciously
invited us to invade. She is also providing lunch. We will also
bringing any duplicate books we have to trade with others in the group.
We will be talking about quilts from 1850-1880's and maybe try to sneak
in a trip to the museum in Oshkosh. The meeting following will be held
on February 17th at the Salem Public Library (we will all be sharing the
first quilts we made) and the May meeting will be held at the McHenry
Museum. (Just inside IL.) Sandy promises a wonderful study of the
quilts at the museum. There will be a charge associated with this
meeting for admission to the privately run museum.
